Lyndon Forman once said that ” Don’t focus on how to spend less money. Focus on how to make more money.”

Saving= Income-Expenses

This is all about living cheap and being frugal. I read that most personal money management gurus teach about being frugal and to cut down on our daily expenses.

Will it worth our effort? Well, if you have no idea on how to make more money, this is your only choice because by reducing your expenses, you’re increasing you net worth.

I have read 50 ways that we can do to reduce our daily expenses.

1. Get rid of our handphone.

2. Stop all periodical subscriptions like newspapers, magazine and etc.

3. Change our light bulb to energy efficient bulb.

4. If possible, buy generic prescriptions medicine.

5. Always buy in bulk whenever we go to the supermarket to buy our household groceries.

6. Cancel your gym membership and start jogging for free at your community park.

7.Instead of spending RM7 per movie, go to your local library and start reading books. Some library have their FREE multimedia section where, as a member, you could watch movie for free.

8. Spend less on your annual vacation.

9. Try to stay at home whenever possible.

10. Create a budget and stick to it.

11. Cancel your astro subscription.

12. Instead of making a phone call to discuss things with your colleague, use email instead. The latest Google buzz can be used for this purpose.

13. Look at the price tag before you take out your wallet from your pocket. Compare the prices and you will save a lot.

14. Don’t go shopping for grocery without planning. Plan in advanced the menus for the weekend and head on to your local ‘kedai runcit’ or supermarket.

15. Avoid impulse buying by preparing a shopping list.

16. Go to the supermarket only once a week.

17. If you’re feeling hungry, don’t go to the restaurant. Head home and be your own cook.

18. Don’t throw away the leftover food, plan how you can use it. Be creative.

19. Most people will buy clothing before the season starts, when the price has been marked up and discounts tags are shown. Instead, go and buy your clothings at the end of the season.

20. Do your shopping at discount stores.

21. Buy second hand items whenever possible.

22. Use public transportation whenever possible.

23. Exercise and develop good health habits. It will reduce medical cost.

24. Don’t smoke. Cigarettes are expensive to buy.

25. Don’t drink alcohol. You will be more sober and creative and will be able to think on how to make more money.=)

26. Instead of buy dvd on the latest video games, play board and card games. I especially likes to play the ’saidina’ board game whenever possible.

27. Stop paying for concert ticket, only attend if it’s free.

28. Learn to make your own household accesories.

29. Move to a cheaper room/ house.

30. Cook and bring your own packed lunch to school or work.

31. Review your insurance coverage. Are you over insured?

32.Reduce trips outside the house.

33. Use 10% less than usual.

34. Stop shopping, even window shopping.

35. buy cheaper brands.

36. Lookout for discount coupon.

37. Only buy when offered a rebate.

38. Order plain water or ‘chinese tea’ whenever eating at the restaurant

39. Don’t keep more than Rm10 in your wallet.

40. Cut all your credit card except for the one that gives you the lowest limit.

41. Reduce your car maintenance cost by changing oil yourself.

42. Find a friend who can cut your hair for free (or cheaper), going to the hairstylist is expensive. This friend will be happy because you give them an opportunity to sharpen their skills. =)

43. Sell your car and buy a motorcycle.

44. Avoid silly bank fees.

45. Don’t buy a car.

46. Just rent a small room to stay.

47. Share a room and split the rent.

48. Stay with your parents.

49. Start blogging and I assure you that it will cut all your other entertainment.

50. Ask for discount every time before you pay for something.

Wow, there goes the fun. This involve a lot of hard work. But now use that small little POWERFUL stuff inside your head. Ask your self, do you really want to go through this torture?

Being frugal doesn’t mean that you should be cheap. You can live frugally, below your mean. But you don’t have to live cheaply. That’s stingy!

It is always limited in how much you can save. No matter how hard you try, you cannot cut down on your current expenses completely. Most people will be happy if they can cut 10% of their expenses. 30% is already too much for most people to compromise their lifestyle. The thing is that by concentrating on reducing expenses what you will get is hardwork, no fun and only will be able to save as much as the amount you didn’t spend.

In my next article, I will write about how we can increase our income so stay tuned!

IMPORTANT: READ THE WHOLE POST THOROUGHLY BEFORE TAKING ANY ACTION

Right . . . A lot of what you read below may come off as sounding harsh. If thats the case I make no apologies. Sadly, from what I have been seeing over the last few years, most people I see entering the Internet Marketing Industry do not / are not taking it anywhere seriously enough to be able to monetize their lives fully with it. With that in mind I open this tutorial up. It may be a bit over the top for a lot of people but then there are others who need a good kick up the bum to shake them out of their complacency. I have already run what I have written past a few people with a mixed bag of results. Some like it hot and love what I wrote the way I wrote it, saying it was exactly what they wanted to hear. Others already know the stuff and scoff at it, saying it is old hat. Either way your opinion means nothing on this. If it helps just one person then it is worth it.

On that basis the tut begins . . . . .

To my mind the first thing that needs to happen for ALL noobs entering Sales and Advertising is you are going to need to be (if you have not / don’t already do this !)re-arranging your thinking.

I know this may sound harsh but the biggest mistake I see being made amongst New internet marketers (noobs) is approaching this whole “make money online” scene in an amaturish fashion. There is no professionalisim, no indication of being committed or dedicated to ones cause.

So . . . . .lets get started.

You need to be honest with yourself and everyone you deal with in regard to who you are and what you are about

You need to get real about about being in Business online and you need to start thinking like a Business person,

presenting yourself and your operations in a Business like manner and taking the whole thing seriously.

Until you do this your ethics, your work Standard and the level of self discipline you need, to make it in business,

is going to suffer, along with your productivity and the amount of money you make and retain

On that basis the first thing you are going to need to take care of, first in your mind and then in real life, is your Profile

(your personal information you submit to the networks). This needs to be all 100 % true and accurate information.

No false names, no false IDs or country locations or addresses or phone numbers.

Here is why: We, ALL OF US, trade out of our own individual reputations. Once you get busted for supplying false

information you can have that stuck to your ID for the rest of your life! The last thing you want is an application declined

because you have a rep as a scammer!

So -PLAY IT STRAIGHT (end of rant!)

Ok . . .having said that, here is what the CPA companies are going to require of you, in regard to a proper website and business arrangement

This is the absolute bare minimum I would be wanting to see if I were screening affiliates

1. A full set of contact details (aim, skype, LANDLINE PHONE NUMBER!)

2. Tax forms submitted immediately upon application (w8ben / w9ben whatever is applicable for your country)

3. A REAL bank account (not just paypal or moneybookers crap but an Actual bank), preferably a business account registered as an LLC but I say this as an IDEAL, NOT a necessity by any means.

3. A professional sounding domain name, and it is a dot com, a dot net, or a dot org, NOT a dot info

so it is going to be like “jamesmarketing.com” or ‘SmartAds.com” or “Netmarketingnow.com” or something

that smacks of an advertising company or similar. It is NOT a blog on blogger or wordpress etc and

it is not housed on a free host which displays advertising not yours

4. A real, approachable person on the end of the phne when they CALL YOU to confirm your application (they most likely will)

5. A person who knows their shit. Now, in regard to what they want to see, a lot of companies are going to want to know how

successful you are, are you a person who is going to make them money or not. Remember – if you dont bank neither do they !

So – here is where you can “stretch the truth” a bit if you have to. There is no way they can disprove what you say here and, essentially,it is your own business not theirs. You don’t have to PROVE you can do what I state next, but you DO have to come across

confidently if ( usually when) they phone you. Your conversation is going to go something like this (obviously you are not going to quote this, or come across like a robot, but it is basically what they want to hear)

Q. How did you hear about us

A. I got told by several people your company was really gr8. I was asking around because I am sick of crappy offers and were told your are really good

Q. What type of methods do you use to advertise;

A. I have a subscriber list of around 20,000 but I only send them really good offers because its a super responsive list and I want it to stay that way.I also do a lot of PPC but I am looking to really ramp that up over the next year. My spend is around $40,000 a year with an ROI of about 200 % which could be better.

Q. Why do you want to join our network

A. Well, to be honest I have been having a lot of trouble lately finding offers that are decent enough, that convert well.

So I put the word out and everyone’s been recommending your network

Your whole purpose here, when speaking or corresponding to them is to present yourself as a confident, experienced marketer,

whether you are or not. if you instill confidence in them, that you are not crooked, that you are approachable, that you know your stuff, they should be welcoming you with open arms

Remember this – THEY NEED YOU. YOU ARE THEIR INCOME. If you don’t bank neither do they !

Ok – now for your website:

This is going to set you back the princely sum of an entire $30.00 or so for a whole 12 months global reach business representation

Remember: A professional sounding domain name, and it is a dot com, a dot net, or a dot org, NOT a dot info.

Buy your domain wherever it suits you. Grab some Domain Registration Privacy if you are concerned with privacy when you register the domain. I get mine off http://www.godaddy.com, via http://ajaxwhois.com for a good discount

Grab the cheapest hosting package off these guys http://www.hostmediauk.com/media-hosting/ for ten british pound a YEAR !

or cheaper if you can find it. As long as it has a cpanel (for ease of use). Change the nameservers over at go daddy to your hosting account, create a new addon domain at your hosting account, wait anything up to 48 hours for population of servers and then load up your site from xsitepro.

If you have never set up a Domain or hosting before it is a valuable skill you will need. You will get an emails confirming the purchases with temporary ftp (file upload) details on it, the password and name servers etc, so make sure you use a real email address when you buy the Domain and Hosting.

That is the server side stuff. Now, for your actual website . . . .

It has a Corporate feel about it. In other words it has all the things you would expect to find on a Business website.

aside from the front page it has an “about us” page which describes what your “Business” does.

It has a “contact us” page with real contact details. Usually admin@ YOUR DOMAIN.com does the trick

It has a sitemap

It has a privacy policy. Google “privacy policy”. Ready made ones are plentiful.

That is pretty much about it as far as the site goes. A simple 5 page site, if you want you can add articles etc, but as long as they can see a decent effort and all the relevant info is there they should be happy Cpa companies mainly want to see that you are a serious marketer, not just toying with them or the idea of making money online.

Because your website is the only thing they can SEE, with their own eyes, it speaks volumes to them about your intent. A good website presentation can, in a lot of cases, mean the difference between getting accepted or not but the things aye – once you have it that’s it.

I went to watch this ‘Hoto train your dragon’ movie at our local theater today with my girlfriend and 2 of her younger brothers and 1 nephew. This is my 2nd time watching this same movie and those who knows me well would be surprised if they were to know that I went to watch this movie within 1 week span.

At first I thought that I wouldn’t enjoy this movie is not as good as ‘clash of the titans’ , ‘alice in the wonderlands‘ (Hot Alice in Wonderland Graphics) but I was wrong, I ended up writing about it on my home business blog.

It was worth the ticket price.

The ‘How to train your dragon’ movie turns out to be quite good especially the flying scenes in 3D. My girlfriend and the other really liked it.

Maybe you are also thinking about going to watch the movie this coming few days. Go ahead and enjoy the movie because you will learn something from watching ‘How To Train Your Dragon.”

Well, don’t expect to see too many violence or fire-spitting dragon in this movie but in case you are, DreamWorks’ latest 3D creation will teach you a few lessons that we can apply in our home business.

What we can learn from watching this movie?

Protect Your Underbelly

Most dragons are able to do massive amounts of destruction, strength and speed and are classified by the vikings as ‘kill on sight’. All of these dragons have their own weakspot /blind spot. At the though the vast majority of dragons are capable of massive amounts of destruction, that’s not to say they don’t have any weaknesses.

In our home business, we might think that we have the fund, the team, and the expertise to run the company how ever it is important that we don’t think too highly of our business. We need to identify any weaknesses that could be exploited by our business opponent.

Don’t Assume, because it will make an ‘ass’ out of us

Most people in the viking community are terrified at the sight of the dragon’s ferocious look. I learned that we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover-or in this movie, a dragon by its scales. ’Toothless’ the dragon trained by hiccup was certainly looks terrifying but treated with respect and appreciation, ‘toothless’ eventually became an invaluable ally.

Establish Relationship/A Friendship

As a trainer, it’s important to know your limitations against a dragon — for instance, leaping at a dragon while clutching a battle axe in your hand is most likely going to lead to you being swallowed whole. For ‘toothless’ to trust ‘hiccup’, hiccup needed to show the dragon that he’s not there as an enemy or as dragon slayer, but as ‘one of them’ and that he don’t mean any harm.

In our business, many times we are need be diplomatic since ‘violence’ isn’t going to get us anywhere. By solidifying a friendship with your competiton, you’ll find yourself not only with a partner in business, but who knows that you might be with a true friend.

This is a long term strategy to make $$$ . From a friend, So here it goes…

The following will build a successful site in 1 years time via Google alone. It can be done faster if you are a real go getter, or everyones favorite a self starter.

A) Prep work and begin building content. Long before the domain name is settled on, start putting together notes to build at least a 100 page site. That’s just for openers. That’s 100 pages of real content, as opposed to link pages, resource pages, about/copyright/ tos…etc eg: fluff pages.

B) Domain name: Easily brandable. You want “google.com” and not “mykeyword.com” . Keyword domains are out – branding and name recognition are in – big time in. The value of keywords in a domain name have never been less to se’s. Learn the lesson of “goto.com” becomes “Overture.com” and why they did it. It’s one of the most powerful gut check calls I’ve ever seen on the internet. That took serious resolve and nerve to blow away several years of branding. (that is a whole ‘nother article, but learn the lesson as it applies to all of us).

C) Site Design: The simpler the better. Rule of thumb: text content should out weight the html content. The pages should validate and be usable in everything from Lynx to leading edge browsers. eg: keep it close to html 3.2 if you can. Spiders are not to the point they really like eating html 4.0 and the mess that it can bring. Stay away from heavy: flash, dom, java, java script.

Go external with scripting languages if you must have them – there is little reason to have them that I can see – they will rarely help a site and stand to hurt it greatly due to many factors most people don’t appreciate (search engines distaste for JavaScript is just one of them).

Arrange the site in a logical manner with directory names hitting the top keywords you wish to hit. You can also go the other route and just throw everything in root (this is rather controversial, but it’s been producing good long term results across many engines). Don’t clutter and don’t spam your site with frivolous links like “best viewed” or other counter like junk. Keep it clean and professional to the best of your ability.

Learn the lesson of Google itself – simple is retro cool – simple is what surfers want. Speed isn’t everything, it’s almost the only thing. Your site should respond almost instantly to a request. If you get into even 3-4 seconds delay until “something happens” in the browser, you are in long term trouble. That 3-4 seconds response time may vary for site destined to live in other countries than your native one. The site should respond locally within 3-4 seconds (max) to any request. Longer than that, and you’ll lose 10% of your audience for every second. That 10% could be the difference between success and not.

The pages:

D) Page Size: The smaller the better. Keep it under 15k if you can. The smaller the better. Keep it under 12k if you can. The smaller the better. Keep it under 10k if you can – I trust you are getting the idea here. Over 5k and under 10k. Ya – that bites – it’s tough to do, but it works. It works for search engines, and it works for surfers. Remember, 80% of your surfers will be at 56k or even less.

E) Content: Build one page of content and put online per day at 200-500 words. If you aren’t sure what you need for content, start with the Overture keyword suggester and find the core set of keywords for your topic area. Those are your subject starters.

F) Density, position, yada… Simple old fashioned Search Engine Optimization from the ground up. Use the keyword once in title, once in description tag, once in a heading, once in the url, once in bold, once in italic, once high on the page, and hit the density between 5 and 20% (don’t fret about it). Use good sentences and speel check it Spell checking is becoming important as se’s are moving to auto correction during searches. There is no longer a reason to look like you can’t spell (unless you really are phonetically challenged).

G)Outbound Links: From every page, link to one or two high ranking sites under that particular keyword. Use your keyword in the link text (this is ultra important for the future).

H)Insite Cross links. (cross links in this context are links WITHIN the same site) Link to on topic quality content across your site. If a page is about food, then make sure it links it to the apples and veggies page. Specifically with Google, on topic cross linking is very important for sharing your Google Page Ranking value across your site. You do NOT want an “all star” page that out performs the rest of your site. You want 50 pages that produce 1 referral each a day and do NOT want 1 page that produces 50 referrals a day. If you do find one page that drastically out produces the rest of the site with Google, you need to off load some of that Google Page Ranking value to other pages by cross linking heavily. It’s the old share the wealth thing.

I) Put it Online. Don’t go with virtual hosting – go with a stand alone ip. Make sure the site is “crawlable” by a spider. All pages should be linked to more than one other page on your site, and not more than 2 levels deep from root. Link the topic vertically as much as possible back to root. A menu that is present on every page should link to your sites main “topic index” pages (the doorways and logical navigation system down into real content). Don’t put it online before you have a quality site to put online. It’s worse to put a “nothing” site online, than no site at all. You want it flushed out from the start. Go for a listing in the ODP. If you have the budget, then submit to Looksmart and Yahoo. If you don’t have the budget, then try for a freebie on Yahoo (don’t hold your breath).

J) Submit. Submit the root to: Google, Fast, Altavista, WiseNut, (write Teoma), DirectHit, and Hotbot. Now comes the hard part – forget about submissions for the next six months. That’s right – submit and forget.

K) Logging and Tracking: Get a quality logger/tracker that can do justice to inbound referrals based on log files (don’t use a lame graphic counter – you need the real deal). If your host doesn’t support referrers, then back up and get a new host. You can’t run a modern site without full referrals available 24×7×365 in real time.

L) Spiderlings: Watch for spiders from se’s. Make sure those that are crawling the full site, can do so easily. If not, double check your linking system (use standard hrefs) to make sure the spider found it’s way throughout the site. Don’t fret if it takes two spiderings to get your whole site done by Google or Fast. Other se’s are pot luck and doubtful that you will be added at all if not within 6 months.

M) Topic directories. Almost every keyword sector has an authority hub on it’s topic. Go submit within the guidelines.

N)Links. Look around your keyword sector in Googles version of the ODP. (this is best done AFTER getting an odp listing – or two). Find sites that have links pages or freely exchange links. Simply request a swap. Put a page of on topic, in context links up your self as a collection spot. Don’t freak if you can’t get people to swap links – move on. Try to swap links with one fresh site a day. A simple personal email is enough. Stay low key about it and don’t worry if site Z won’t link with you – they will – eventually they will.

O) Content. One page of quality content per day. Timely, topical articles are always the best. Try to stay away from to much “bloggin” type personal stuff and look more for “article” topics that a general audience will like. Hone your writing skills and read up on the right style of “web speak” that tends to work with the fast and furious web crowd. Lots of text breaks – short sentences – lots of dashes – something that reads quickly. Most web users don’t actually read, they scan. This is why it is so important to keep low key pages today. People see a huge overblown page by random, and a portion of them will hit the back button before trying to decipher it.

They’ve got better things to do that waste 15 seconds (a stretch) at understanding your whiz bang flash menu system. Because some big support site can run flashed out motorhead pages, that is no indication that you can. You don’t have the pull factor they do. Use headers, and bold standout text liberally on your pages as logical separators. I call them scanner stoppers where the eye will logically come to rest on the page.

P) Gimmicks. Stay far away from any “fades of the day” or anything that appears spammy, unethical, or tricky. Plant yourself firmly on the high ground in the middle of the road.

Q)Link backs. When YOU receive requests for links, check the site out before linking back with them. Check them through Google and their Google Page Ranking value. Look for directory listings. Don’t link back to junk just because they asked. Make sure it is a site similar to yours and on topic.

R) Rounding out the offerings: Use options such as Email-a-friend, forums, and mailing lists to round out your sites offerings. Hit the top forums in your market and read, read, read until your eyes hurt you read so much. Stay away from “affiliate fades” that insert content on to your site.

S) Beware of Flyer and Brochure Syndrome . If you have an ecom site or online version of bricks and mortar, be careful not to turn your site into a brochure. These don’t work at all. Think about what people want. They aren’t coming to your site to view “your content”, they are coming to your site looking for “their content”. Talk as little about your products and yourself as possible in articles (raise eyebrows…yes, I know).

T) Build one page of content per day. Head back to the Overture suggestion tool to get ideas for fresh pages.

U) Study those logs. After 30-60 days you will start to see a few referrals from places you’ve gotten listed. Look for the keywords people are using. See any bizarre combinations? Why are people using those to find your site? If there is something you have over looked, then build a page around that topic. Retro engineer your site to feed the search engine what it wants. If your site is about “oranges”, but your referrals are all about “orange citrus fruit”, then you can get busy building articles around “citrus” and “fruit” instead of the generic “oranges”. The search engines will tell you exactly what they want to be fed – listen closely, there is gold in referral logs, it’s just a matter of panning for it.

V)Timely Topics. Nothing breeds success like success. Stay abreast of developments in your keyword sector. If big site “Z” is coming out with product “A” at the end of the year, then build a page and have it ready in October so that search engines get it by December. eg: go look at all the Xbox and XP sites in Google right now – those are sites that were on the ball last summer.

W) Friends and Family Networking is critical to the success of a site. This is where all that time you spend in forums will pay off. pssst: Here’s the catch-22 about forums: lurking is almost useless. The value of a forum is in the interaction with your fellow colleagues and cohorts. You learn long term by the interaction – not by just reading. Networking will pay off in link backs, tips, email exchanges, and it will put you “in the loop” of your keyword sector.

X) Notes, Notes, Notes. If you build one page per day, you will find that brain storm like inspiration will hit you in the head at some magic point. Whether it is in the shower (dry off first), driving down the road (please pull over), or just parked at your desk, write it down! 10 minutes of work later, you will have forgotten all about that great idea you just had.

Write it down, and get detailed about what you are thinking. When the inspirational juices are no longer flowing, come back to those content ideas. It sounds simple, but it’s a life saver when the ideas stop coming.

Y)Submission check at six months. Walk back through your submissions and see if you got listed in all the search engines you submitted to after six months. If not, then resubmit and forget again. Try those freebie directories again too.

Z) Build one page of quality content per day. Starting to see a theme here? Google loves content, lots of quality content. Broad based over a wide range of keywords. At the end of a years time, you should have around 400 pages of content. That will get you good placement under a wide range of keywords, generate recip links, and overall position your site to stand on it’s own two feet. Do those 26 things, and I guarantee you that in ones years time you will call your site a success. It will be drawing between 500 and 2000 referrals a day from search engines.

If you build a good site with an average of 4 to 5 pages per user, you should be in the 10-15k page views per day range in one years time. What you do with that traffic is up to you, but that is more than enough to “do something” with.

The biggest hidden SECRET is taking ACTION… What you do today will change your tomorrow.

I hope this post is useful and help you start to make a living from the internet.

What Is PLR?

PLR is a short term for Private Label Rights. This is different from Resale Rights and Master Resale Rights.

With Private Label Rights (PLR), you can:

a) Change the product anyway you want it.

b) Put your name as the author (You can do anything with it-minor changes or major rewriting. You can change the graphics, take out any part in the product)

As for Product with Resell Rights(RR), You can:

a) Resell the product and keep all the profit for yourself. Please bear in mind that basic resell rights doesn’t give you the right to change the product in any way or claim authorship. You can only sell it with tweaking it or changing it.

Master Resell Rights (MMR) allows you to:

a) Basic resell rights and sell the license to sell the product. This means that you can sell the product to someone and they can start selling the product themselves. Usually this is more attractive to people as they can resell the product and keep the profits for themselves and especially if it’s a really great product.

It’s imperative that you read the resell license agreement for each product, as each may
be different. You can find them either in the front of the PDF if the product is an
ebook, or separately in the zip file. The terms are usually a text or PDF file with very
bossy titles like “READ ME”. They’re being bossy for a reason. You need to read those
files to understand what you can and can not do with the material.
It’s important to know the difference in product selling rights and I hope this clears up
any confusion you may have. The next time you think about purchasing a product,
take a look to at the terms. This might help you make the decision whether to buy or
not.

What Can I do With PLR?

Anyone who knows what to do with PLR understands the full power of PLR. It’s like
Play Doh. You can take them and shape them into just about anything you want them
to be. Use your imagination and turn your PLR into any money-making shapes you
want (remember to double check your PLR’s terms of service first).

There are so many ways to use PLR that I’m going to narrow it down a bit by
explaining the possible uses of PLR articles here. I think after reading this you’ll
agree that PLR can be easily used to make you some money!

Display spot for ads – The more PLR article pages you have on your website, the
more pages you have for displaying AdSense ads. Content is truly king plus the more
content you have the more AdSense ads you have, the more opportunity you have to
make money from them.

Audio – Give useful information gleaned from PLR and put it on an audio file. This
can establish you as an expert.

Podcasting – You can easily convert PLR articles into your very own Podcast. Submit
them to the podcasting directories and you have a fresh new source of traffic for your
website. This is such overlooked method for driving traffic to your website that I wrote
an ebook about it: Niche Podcasting. The beauty of using PLR for podcasting is that
you don’t even need to re-write the PLR material since it’s in the audio format.

Video – Video is hot right now and it’s not going anywhere. I do a lot of video
marketing and it works. It’s easy to use a PLR article and turn it into a 2-3 minute
video which you than upload to all the video sharing sites like YouTube, Viddler, Yahoo
Video, et al.

Autoresponders – Split PLR up into small segments and load them into your
autoresponder. If it takes seven contacts with a person before they become a
customer, this is a good way to make your seven contacts.

Blog posts – Use the PLR you’ve gathered to use for automatic blog posts. Set up the
blog to have the posts be posted on a regular schedule while you go on to set up your
next niche blog. Monetize these sites for passive income.

Coaching program – If you’re a coach, you need valuable information to feed your
clients. PLR can help you create your program of information.

eBooks – Turn several PLR articles on the same subject into an ebook. Increase the
value by adding more information of your own or expanding on points in the PLR
articles. You can also add screen shots, graphs, and pictures.

Promote affiliate products - Use PLR to promote a product that you’re an affiliate
for. Your PLR articles can point to the product and if people buy, you get the affiliate
commission. You can also put your affiliate link in the article if you’re using it for a
blog post.

Fire sale – Take a look at your PLR and see if you have several items on the same or
complimentary subjects. Edit them, change the title, get new graphics, and sell the
bundle at a great price.

Bonuses – Take PLR that you’ve made into an ebook and give the ebook away as a
bonus to another product you’re selling. This adds value to your sale.

Audio book – Just record yourself reading the ebook that you created from PLR
material out-loud and turn it into a CD. Sell the CD or use it as a bonus or upsell.

Direct sales newsletter – A newsletter highlighting good PLR information can only
help your direct sales business. No more tearing out your hair trying to come up with
something from scratch.

Offline flyers - Put intriguing and educating snippets of PLR in a flyer along with
your website address, email address, and business phone number. Slip some ads in
there as well. Interested parties will be in touch.

Interview – You have the answers in your PLR article, now write out the questions.
Have someone ask you the questions and you answer (based on the PLR article.) This
can be written or audio.

Online home study course – Break the PLR content down into actionable steps or
use it as an example. Some PLR articles lend themselves to this as they’re set up in a
“how to” format with steps.

Short reports – Create short reports from PLR and sell them for some quick bucks,
give them away for free to build your list. Brand your short report with your affiliate
links too.

Website – When it comes to SEO and websites, “content is king”. Keep adding
keyword-rich content (PLR articles) to your website to help get better positioning in
the search engines.

Squidoo lens – Lenses are created to point to your website, to sell your product, or to
sell affiliate products. The quickest way to populate these lenses is with PLR articles.
Website flipping – Get some header and footer graphics made for your website, add
PLR articles for content, set up AdSense, and then sell the website.

This is just the tip of the iceberg regarding what you can do with PLR articles. Take the
time to formulate a plan on how you want to use PLR, go through what you already
have or purchase some, and start making some money.

There are many internet markets in all sorts of niches who make excellent money using
PLR. Not only does it make you money, it saves you time. Whenever you come across
good PLR, consider the above ideas and put some of them into action.

Remember to at least lightly rewrite the PLR articles to make them uniquely yours.
You will see several of the methods described above in the video case study and later
on in this report.

Anybody can follow this step by step guide on how to write a useful and practical ‘how-to’ ebook.

To create a tutorial you will need an account somewhere like photobucket.com where you can link screengrabs, you will also need to be familiar on how to create useful and effective screengrabs and finally you will need to break the process of whatever you are writing a tutorial about down to logical and easy steps.

Let us become familiar first with creating a screen grab.

1. Screengrabs

You can take a screengrab at any time on your computer by pressing the “Print Screen” key (See fig 1 below)

When you press this you may think that nothing has happened, certainly nothing changes on the screen but in fact an image of your entire screen has been pasted to the “Clipboard” buffer in memory, now you need to create an image file with that so you need to open up your graphics package, this could be Paint, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or the free GIMP, for the purposes of this tutorial I will be using Paint Shop Pro but the same facilities exist in all the packages mentioned.

Once you have opened your graphics package go to the edit menu and click “Paste as new image”. (See fig 2 below) (fig 3 shows the fullscreen “Reduced in size for this tutorial”)

This will produce a full screen sized image of your entire screen, of course this is going to be too big and it may contain information that you don’t necessarily want the public to know such as if you have messenger open with conversations displayed for all to see, so the next step is to “Crop” the image to one that will concentrate on what it is you want to show. To “Crop” this down you need to select the “crop” tool (fig 4)

fig 4

Then you left click where you want the top left corner of your image to begin and keeping the left mouse button clicked drag down (top left to bottom right) a rectangulsr area on your full screen graphic that encapsulates the entire area you want to show (See fig 5)

fig 5

You will notice that the selected area rectange has “Resize” boxes, these you can pull (Left click your mouse on any of these and keep the left mouse button clicked dragging the box) to fit your cropping needs and when you are happy that the selected area is OK you simply double click anywhere inside the selected area for the “crop” to be made.

If you make a mistake whilst cropping simply go to the “Edit” menu and select “Undo crop” (Should be at the top of the Edit menu).

Now you have your handy sized graphic depicting whatever it is you want to show, save it as a jpg file somewhere on your harddrive where you will easily find it again (Generally naming it something that corresponds to its place in your tutorial like fig 1 or demo 1 etc…).

The next step is to get your graphic hosted somewhere like photobucket, thhis is a simple step, if you already haven’t done so open a new account and their upload procedures are reasonably straight forward , just follow their instructions.

2. Make everything clear

OK we know how to create screengrabs and host them but unless you make it clear what the reader is supposed to be looking for all your hard work is for nothing.

Graphics

When creating your graphics always try to highlight what icon, button or menu item it is you are talking about, remember that someone completely new to the software, you are writing the tutorial for, is not going to be as familiar with the layout as you are and so you need to show which icon you are using (Usually I put an arrow pointing to it) also make sure that you give the reader some perspective of where that icon can be found by including in your screengrab other icons and buttons that are around it.

Generally speaking these image hosting companies provide you with a variety of linking options as shown in fig 6 (Taken from photobucket.com)

fig 6

For forums like this one use the bottom link option.

For HTML pages use the middle link option.

And for a straight link to the image use the top link option.

OK, I understand that this approach may seem a little patronising to those who may be more familiar with the software but always write a tutorial aimed at your audience with a view to the newcomer. It still amazes me how many tutorials are written assuming that those reading the tutorial are completely familiar and comfortable with using the software (If they were that familiar with the software they wouldn’t need your tutorial).

Concept

Lay out in the simplest terms what your tutorial aims to achieve, this is an important preamble to writing up the various stages in the process you are trying to teach. That may seem like common sense but as you wind through the various processes to achieve the finished goal you can easily lose yourself on sidetracking and so completely lose your audience.

Break the process down to its most basic element procedures, too many tutorials skip through stuff that the writer assumes everybody is familiar with and this can sometimes cause confusion for the reader and lose an audience who are left wondering how they get from stage A to stage F when B,C,D and E have been left out (My biggest gripe is with those tutorial writers who like to show lots of screengrabs of dialogue boxes and yet fail to explain fully what was clicked on the previous dialogue box to get to the current one).

Make sure you do not miss anything out from that chain of procedures.

Delivery

This is perhaps the part in which you need to pay the closest attention, keep the language simple, pay close attention to punctuation and add textual formatting to emphasise important steps.

Do not create enormous blocks of text, paragraphs should be short and to the point, a paragraph with more than 6 lines is generally hard to follow onscreen, make sure that your paragraphs stay below a 6 line threshold.

If you need to add numbered lists of procedures or anything else always have a line break in between each numbered item.

Always make anything you think important “Bold” to stand out fro the rest of the text.

When you add comments always use italics (Then everyone knows that these are additional to the main tutorial information)

3. Pay attention to feedback

The best test of a tutorial is the feedback you get from its readers, if you seem to get a lot of feedback asking you to explain certain aspects of a procedure go back to the tutorial and edit it including the new explanations.

Be ever critical of your own tutorial, if you feel you could have explained something simpler go back in and edit it.

Always remember that the only reason for a person to read a tutorial is for them to learn, never take criticisms personally.

Happy tutorial writing

Many Internet Marketer out there keep on harping that this type home internet based business is one of the fastest and easiest way to earn. But, for many newbies, many still not sure how to go about it and don’t know the step-by-step plan.

In this blog post, I will expose one of the ways to earn from Clickbank…FOR FREE. you don’t have to pay me. However, if you plan to buy some product after reading my post, at least you buy from my link and I can earn a cut of commission.Fair?

Please take note that this is not my own ideas but it’s valuable and it’s proven to work by so many marketers. Enjoy reading.

Step 1. Sign Up with Clickbank CLICK HERE. then Choose your Clickbank Product

I recommend staying away from these type of products (for newbie)

a. Internet Marketing – too much competition unless you put together a Google-friendly landing page and give away bonuses that are relevant to the particular product (or use other advanced tactics like that). Actually, competition is where the money is but it’s very difficult without prior marketing knowledge.

b.Tattoo Design Products – extremely low conversion and “brutal” adwords competition -some marketer that promoted “tattoo chopper” using Google Adwords ost close to $200 in the first few hours after they started their campaign.

c. Gambling-Related Products - blackjack, texas holdem, betfair, sports betting – any adwords campaigns related to gambling is not allowed by Google Adwords staff.

d. Any products related to a well-known trademark, like “World of Warcraft” guides, is going to be stopped by adwords staff.

Read the Terms Of Service of Google Adwords. It mentioned that:

a. That the sales page (or the squeeze page – whatever’s the first page the visitor lands on, on the merchant’s site) doesn’t have a pop-up; it’s against adword’s TOS.

Your campaigns can be stopped because of this.

b. That the product has a low refund rate – to me, anything below 10%, because I don’t want to promote something that I know won’t help people and a good way you can judge that is by the refund rate, which can be calculated as follows

refund rate % =100*(1-(A/((B-B*0.075-1)*C/100)))
A=$/sale
B=Product Price
C=%/sale

c. Preferably, the merchant doesn’t have an opt-in form on the sales page, or have a squeeze page – because then the merchant could collect the visitor’s email, sell to them through email,(however, many merchants are honest and will credit you with your commissions even when they buy through an email sent by the merchant. I sometimes opt-in and check the first email they send me to make sure my affiliate link is in the email)

d. That the product has a high $/sale – allows me to bid higher and be more competitive in adwords.

e.That the merchant’s sales page doesn’t contain any “leakage”, i.e. outbound links from which your visitor could “escape” from the sales page (for example, links to other products for which you don’t get any commissions)

f. Preferably, the merchant doesn’t offer other methods of payment (if they order by mail or cheque, you won’t get the commission)

I usually pick around 30 products in one sitting, then move to the next step.

2)Collect Keywords for the Clickbank Products

First, browse the merchant’s sales page to collect relevant keywords, which we call “seed” keywords (e.g. for a dog training product, we may write down these keywords: “dog potty training”, “dog house training”, “stop dog peeing”, “stop dog scratching furniture”, etc. etc.

Then we go to the Google Adwords Tool, type in the seed keywords (make sure to include synonyms), and click “Add” for keywords we know are likely to convert (for each keyword we’d ask ourself “if I were a visitor and typed in this particular keyword phrase, what would I be looking for? Would I be interested in this product?”).

Be selective – better safe and sorry as we don’t want to waste adwords clicks on keywords that may not convert. If in doubt we don’t include a keyword that will probably waste us money, because we know there’s no shortage of products so I don’t have to squeeze every sale out of every product.

Because we made sure to include synonyms in our search, the keyword results will include related keywords that we didn’t think of before. We would “dig” into those related keywords as well by typing them into the search box to return even more keywords.

Think of words we can “tag onto” our seed keywords – for example, if the product is the solution for a kind of health condition, for example arthritis, we would do searches on

“arthritis treatment,

“arthritis cure”,

“arthritis remedies”,

“arthritis medications”,

“arthritis medicine”,

etc.

While we’re building our keyword list, we also make a note of words that are completely irrelevant to our product. For example, say we’re promoting a product that teaches women how to make their husbands love them again, and the google keyword tool results include “make my man love me again lyrics”, we would make note of the word “lyrics” so we could put that as a “negative keyword” for our adwords campaign later.

Finally, when we run out of keyword ideas to type into the tool, we export the whole keyword list into a text file.

3) Separate the Main Keyword List into Adgroups

We can just use an excel worksheet to organize our keywords into adgroups .

We separate them by common words.

Going back to the dog training example, We might have adgroups

“stop dog barking”,

“dog housebreaking”,

“dog potty training” etc.,

where all the keywords in each adgroup contain the common words [adgroup name].

For example, in the “dog housebreaking” adgroup we may have the keywords:
House break a dog
House breaking dog
Housebreaking dogs
How to housebreak a dog

4) Write the Adwords Ad for Each Adgroup

The following is what we do to consistently achieve high CTRs for my ads. Continuing with the dog training product, say for the adgroup “dog housebreaking”, we might write an ad that looks like this:

Housebreaking Your Dog?
Only 7 days to housebreak your dog!
Learn how to housebreak a dog.
Dog-Housebreaking.domain.com

For the headline and 2nd line description, we try to stuff as many common keywords (of the particular adgroup) as we could into them to catch the surfer’s eye.

As we know, the keywords that the surfer types into google’s search box will appear in bold in our adwords ad. W do the same thing to the display URL, which many people don’t bother to do.

We register a domain with a very short name – for example 1best1.com – and set up unlimited subdomains on that one domain. So in our example we would name our subdomain “dog-housebreaking” so that they would appear in bold to catch the surfer’s eye.

With all the bolded words in the headline, 2nd description line and display URL, many surfers will look at our ad. I read somewhere that most people will only read the headline and 1st description, so in the 1st description line we try to stress a benefit. We simply go through the headline and 1st paragraph of the merchant’s sales letter and find the most impressive point we can.

If all else fails, we can always just say “100% guaranteed or your money back!”, since clickbank has a refund guarantee anyway. Using this simple method we almost always able to start off with an above 1% CTR for our new ads, which gives us a good headstart and keeps our bids low.

As for regional targeting, we don’t really need to do much with that – but we probably should. We can target the English-Speaking Countries – Australia, Canada, New Zealand,United Kingdom, and United States.

Some products are only useful to US residents, e.g. setting up a business in the US, so it depends.

We can start our bids low to start with, usually at 1/100 of the sales commission or less. We also set our daily budget to $20/day to start.

Note: I find that it’s easier to first load my campaigns into the Adwords Editor (free download from google) and then upload them to my adwords account.

5)Write the Frame Redirect Script

We need to use frame redirect scripts, because landing pages take too much time to set up, and using our hoplink directly in our adwords ad would put us at risk of commission theft and would also decrease the chances of our ads getting served, due to the double-serving rule that adwords has (i.e. they won’t allow two clickbank affiliates to promote the same product using the same keyword).

Remember we used “Dog-Housebreaking.domain.com” as our display URL? Now we will prepare our frame redirect script, name it “index.php”, and put it into the “dog-housebreaking” subdomain folder. Our redirect script would look something like this:

<HEAD>
<script>window.status = ”;</script>
<title>Successfully Train Your Dog in 7 Days!</title>
</HEAD>

<FRAMESET border=0 rows=”100%,*” frameborder=”no” marginleft=0 margintop=0 marginright=0 marginbottom=0>
<frame src=”http://myclickbankID.merchantID.hop.clickbank.net” scrolling=auto frameborder=”no” border=0 noresize>
<frame topmargin=”0″ marginwidth=0 scrolling=no marginheight=0 frameborder=”no” border=0 noresize> <body></body>
</FRAMESET>
House break a dog
House breaking dog
Housebreaking dogs
How to housebreak a dog
House break a dog
House breaking dog
Housebreaking dogs
How to housebreak a dog

You can cut and paste the code above into a text file and edit the title, your hoplink, and the keywords for your purposes.

W include all the keywords from the main keyword list for the campaign, because we don’t want our adwords quality score to go up due to our redirect page being “irrelevant”. I don’t actually know whether adwords can read the actual contents on my redirect page or not, but I do it just to be safe.

This is no get rich quick method – a lot of work is involved.

The beauty of this method is that it’s simple to implement.

The flip side is that you’ll have to go through lots and lots of products to find a few that are profitable – that’s the case for me anyway.

If you’re an adwords expert you’ll most probably do better. Usually, I set up campaigns for 30 products at one time. Of each batch of 30 products I may end up keeping only 4-8 that turn out to be profitable, and stop the rest.

This is why tracking is so important – you need to know exactly which keywords in which adgroups are making you money so you’d know which adgroups / keywords / campaigns to keep and which to turn off.

As using frame redirects, as far as I know, is against adwords’ TOS, I suggest for you to eventually replace redirect scripts with actual landing pages.

When we already have about 40-50 campaigns that have proven themselves to be consistently profitable, we can now replace their frame redirects with landing pages / squeeze pages, still send the visitor to the merchant’s page after opt-in, then follow up with autoresponder messages to sell that product plus other backend products. If a niche does really well, we may even develop our own products to sell to our list and then put it on clickbank too, and also other affiliate networks.
